Oh, what a great God we serve!
The Creator and Sustainer of this Universe.
He speaks and His will is done.
Every jot and tittle of His word is always performed.
This Bible class is the vision and answered prayer
Of individuals excited about God’s Word who wanted to share.
So, by faith, a small group, unified as one,
Prayerfully agreed that God’s will be done.
It all started when, from Class #6 of New Bethlehem Baptist Church,
A faithful few desired studying God’s Word so very much.
They decided studying once a week in Sunday School would never do.
By faith they believed and received from God – Day #2.
Questionnaires were completed as an aid
To decide the best time and day.
Chosen was Monday evening from 6 to 7.
And this time together has proven to be a glimpse and taste of Heaven.
Rev. W. L. Young, after much prayer and deliberation,
Prayerfully yielded to God’s will in consideration;
That this Bible class would weekly meet
And that the Word of God would be its only sown seed.
The teacher (Surpora Thomas) is anointed and empowered by God
Who is consistently and continuously used as the Master’s rod
To point all willing to God’s Word and Jesus Christ
Because these are the essentials for a prosperous and successful life.
Since our first meeting in June 1989 until this day,
We have grown spiritually and in numbers in every way.
Let’s praise God and offer thanksgiving up above
For His many blessings and His unlimited love,
Lord, we love you, praise and worship you!
Doing all of your Word (Will) is what we strive to do.
As we continue to grow and mature spiritually, we do realize:
That obedience to you is much better than sacrifice.
